Double Sided Tape

Double Sided Tape :

Double-sided tape is widely used by a wide range of industries for applications like holding, mounting, bonding, splicing, and packaging. It is produced by putting a thin adhesive layer on each side of a carrier substrate material. It is obviously most frequently used to join two surfaces together, usually in a way that is hidden from view in the finished result. This is because it was put in “between” rather than “overtop of” what was already in place and in use. This particular use enables a neater appearance and higher craftsmanship. Double-sided tape can be coated with rubber, acrylic, or a modified version of these materials, occasionally with different qualities. It can also be thin (like tape made of paper) or thick (like tape made of foam). In general, thick bonding double-sided tapes are better able to adhere to irregular, uneven, or highly patterned and textured surfaces. As its name implies, thin bonding systems are substantially thinner, often to the point where all that’s left is glue on a silicone liner.

Various Types of Double Gum Tape Available

* Tissue Double Sided Tape: Tissue paper-coated double-sided tapes are among the most widely used types. Double-sided tissue tapes are widely used for a variety of stationery, art, workplace, and general purposes since they are simple to peel off and thin enough to stick to uneven surfaces. They can serve as possible substitutes for glue for simple bonding applications because they are also reasonably priced.

* Acrylic Double Sided Tape: Due to a variety of qualities, acrylic double-sided tapes are used in a wide range of industrial applications. They stick to surfaces far more effectively than tissue tape, and because of their outstanding weather resistance, they are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. However, due to these, they must only be applied when long-term bonding is required.

* Polyethylene Foam Double Sided Tape: The characteristics of double-sided polyethene foam tapes set them apart from their tissue and acrylic cousins. Being constructed of polyethene, it offers substantial padding, permits significant impact absorption, offers insulation, and can suppress noises brought on by surface vibration. For ease of usage, some items are also offered in various shapes; you can get them as strips, pads, or dots.
